Ernesto Fonseca is a motocross and Supercross rider. In 1999, he won the Supercross East Lites Championship, then in 2001 he won the Supercross West Lites Championship. He became the first rider to win both the west and east championships. He also was the first rider to win a Supercross championship with a four-stroke bike.

In 2006, Fonseca was seriously injured. He landed on his head while riding on his private track. He is currently in rehabilation, trying to recover.
