The Honda CBR250R (Not to be confused with the CBR250) is an entry level sportsbike made to compete with the already existing Kawasaki Ninja 250R . The name CBR has been used for various sportsbikes produced by Honda .
The first generation CBR250R was introduced in 2011 to compete in the 250 cc sportsbike market which was dominated fully by the Kawasaki Ninja 250R in North America. It also competed with Hyosung GT250 and Migelli 250R. It features a 249 cc engine, single sylinder, four stroke engine. ABS is an optional feature. The design was inspired by the Honda VFR1200F.
